IFG History
Industrial Flamespraying & Grinding (IFG Services) was founded in 1974 by J.M. Welch to provide the Kern County gas and oil industry with an exceptional machine shop. With more than 20 years experience in the business he knew he could provide outstanding work and service to the community. His goal was to offer affordable, consistent, quality work in a timely manner.
When IFG opened in 1974 Keith Welch worked along side his father becoming a second generation machinist and in 1996 became the owner and president of IFG. His vast experience, knowledge, “can do” attitude and relationships with business associates provide you, the customer, the best that IFG has to offer.

Experience
Many of the employee’s at IFG have a long working history with the company, some 25 years and more. Among them is a combined knowledge of over 100 years of experience in the gas, oil, industrial, agricultural and waste water management industries. This longevity and vast experience enables IFG to provide a dependable and reliable team. The office staff, machinists and mechanics are accessible to the needs of each and every customer.
